Gacha: Save the World
This game was conceived due to the saturation of the mobile market by free-to-play, microtransaction-heavy character collection games. It draws attention to them while also being the very thing it is parodying.
Within Gacha: Save the World is a very stripped-down collect-a-thon mobile application. I hesitate to call it a game because, frankly, there is no real gameplay. It's purely luck-based; you buy in-game currency (gemstals) and open box after box to collect as many characters as possible.
Around it is a basic life simulation. You have bills, a job, your health and randomised events around which you need to make strategic decisions in order to earn as much money as possible. Why? As the game's title suggests, it's to save the world - through the power of Gacha.
